Meliora Clinic has an immediate opening for a full-time exempt Provider at our SE Portland primary care practice. Meliora Clinic is here to help our patients feel “ever better” by meeting their wellness needs through an integrative and collaborative approach. Our mixed-discipline medical clinic focuses on the whole person, offering several treatment options in one safe space. Our team of providers lives by our ethos of “ever better” from communication and relationships to treatment options for our patients. Candidates must reside in the Portland, Oregon metro area and be available to work all shifts on-site.
Requirements
Summary of Responsibilities
Use sound clinical judgment using evidence-based medicine and trauma-informed care
Conduct routine check-ups on patients to assess their health condition and discover possible concerns
Give appropriate advice for healthy habits (diet, hygiene, etc.) and preventative actions to promote overall health
Conduct examinations for ill patients and evaluate symptoms to determine their condition
Ask intuitive questions to discover causes of illness
Reach an informed diagnosis based on scientific knowledge and the patient’s medical history
Prescribe and interpret lab tests to obtain more information for underlying infections or abnormalities
Prescribe medications or drugs and provide comprehensive instructions for administration
Collaborate with other providers to form a high-performing medical team
Examine and provide treatments for injuries and refer patients to other specialists when needed
Keep records of patient’s diseases, operations or other significant information
Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients through informed consent and shared decision making
Remain up-to-speed with developments and best practices in medicine
Actively build a patient panel
Fully utilize EHR to document encounters, process referrals, etc.
Represent the Company according to its Mission and Values on and off duty
Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
ND, NP or similar degree from an accredited United States medical school.
Successful completion of residency at an accredited healthcare institution or applicable experience
Current State Medical Practitioner License.
Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA)
Key Competencies and Skills
Experience providing primary care and diagnostic services in a clinical setting.
Experience prescribing appropriate medications, treatments and health regimens to treat patient health issues.
Experience collaborating with specialists to explore patient health conditions and diagnose health issues.
Experience working in a team of healthcare professionals and collaborating to ensure positive, effective patient experiences with our organization.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
